# Custom response headers for API

One common way to access an API is, to send a get request from a different Domain, therefore it is essential to add a CORS header to the response. In production this might be solvable over a proxy - in development however it isn't that common to use one :) and so it would be fantastic to setup those http headers directly in Directus

Okay its possible to add a CORS directly in htaccess or in the VirtualHost Something like: Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"

But I am wondering if thats possible in your hosted solution ;).
